Caleb found himself waiting in the doorway for another moment- watching on. He could step back out, they hadn’t yet noticed him. He could back away- pace the hallway, wait until they’d finished and cleaned themselves up, and then he could join in for the sure-to-follow cuddles he’d been after in the first place. But. Still. He decided enough was enough. He was tired of not sharing this part with them, so he wouldn’t pace outside the hall, avoiding passing where the door was still cracked open, allowing his anxiety to build. He was going in. He was just- still apparently worried about the details that would entail.

"While Simon is, on the whole, willing to let Baz pick out much of his wardrobe—'I kind of like being your Ken doll,' he once admitted, mostly just to see Baz’s eyelashes go haywire while trying to deny it—Simon does not enjoy needing Baz to get him untangled out of clothing caught on wing spikes or, even less preferable, having Baz magick his clothing to fit. Debbie’s custom tailoring solves most of that. There’s plenty Simon is happy to have Baz’s help and support with in the life they are still learning how to have together, but something about requiring help dressing, with or without magic, puts Simon in a terrible mood. Every time. He can’t shake the associations of helplessness it stirs in his gut, no matter how much he or Baz aim to treat it like a non-issue."
