His skin was painted in silver and gold, and Eren was surprised to see the witch’s runes written there. Their healer’s had often been witches, though they never seemed to stay long. Eren wondered what had happened to bring the man to them.
Almost as if hearing his thoughts, Levi looked up, and promptly erased any and all focus Eren had had on his mother’s words. The stranger’s eyes bore into him, and Eren was suddenly struck with the memory of a boy hidden behind a witch, an eye of silver and another of the whitest of clouds.
He would never forget those eyes.

Lance is a merman who saves him from drowning. Keith thinks Shiro is about to become mermaid dinner. Hunk just wants Lance to stop going to the surface all the time, dammit!
(AU where Avians (winged folk), Galra, humans and merfolk cohabit earth. Shiro and Keith are avian soldiers, Lance is the youngest son of a Queen, Hunk is also a merman and Pidge is still looking for her family. They get caught up in a war.)
