Her arm is hooked under his right shoulder. Gently, she coaxes him up, and he lets out a groan.
“Which one is your room?”
It takes him a few seconds to remember. “One eighteen.”
They slow-walk down the open hallway together.
“Scully.”
“Yeah.”
“Where’s Mulder?”
She scoffs, and then a long silence follows. “Don’t ask,” she says.
They reach his room, and she fishes for the keys in his jacket pocket. Once inside, he collapses onto the carpet near the doorway.
