If the hem had come a little lower, if the shoes had been something else entirely, Vox would have compared it to some 50s fashion. Val was wearing this for him, knowing how feral Vox could get about certain unostentatious outfits. But it was the housewife vibe with Val’s particular flair. The boots specifically. Blue and white, the bottoms being more like Mary Janes than Val’s usual high heels. Somehow it all worked, as it always did whenever Val put anything on.
Vox swallowed back the petals in his throat.

Val was slumped over the desk, now bright pink with hearts instead of blue to reflect his style. The papers his head was lying on were soaked with pink drool, and he snored quietly. A small smile crawled on Vox’s screen. Val was really adorable when he slept.

"Uh, Voxbuster?" Vox stammers slightly. He hasn't thought about those stores in years. They were made redundant once streaming became popular, so he closed them.
"Yeah that's it! You'd always take me to pick out movies every Monday night." He remembers, pointing his nail file at Vox again."
