JJ lets out a thin laugh unaware of where her thoughts immediately drifted to until the words tumble out of her mouth. “What, like Interpol or something?”
“Exactly like Interpol.”
At first, JJ thinks she’s having some kind of stroke. Or that, in fact, her alarm never went off, and she is still in bed, having a bittersweet dream about one of Penelope’s many plans and schemes. It’s more likely than the person behind her really being who JJ desperately wants, needs, her to be.
"Holy wow," Penelope whispers, grabbing JJ's wrist so tight she must suppress a wince.
Only then does she turn around, feels her heart leaping into her throat because Emily Prentiss is standing in the entry of the bullpen. She’s really here. In America. At the BAU. Less than twenty feet away from where JJ is struggling to not leap into her arms.

Summary
“You are so not what I expected.”
There she goes with her foot right into her mouth. Heat crawls up her neck and she’s scrambling for an apology which doesn’t scream that she has no game. For some reason, Emily doesn’t tell her off for being rude but tilts her head, hair falling over her shoulder to expose the long, pale expanse of her neck and her eyebrows raise in surprise.
“Oh, were you not briefed?”
JJ mentally stumbles over the strange word choice but chooses to ignore it. Emily could be an upper-management exec at a big company for all she knows and talk like that out of habit. She will not start to profile her. Absolutely not.
“Well, Penelope mentioned that you are attractive,” JJ tells her honestly, dragging her eyes slowly from Emily’s face down her throat to where the top button of her charcoal-grey silk blouse is undone. “But I think she was clearly underselling you.”
A throaty chuckle escapes Emily. “To be fair you aren’t what I expected either.”
“And is that a good thing?”

JJ meets Emily on a blind date or at least she thinks it is one. Emily thinks it's something else entirely. Flirting, miscommunicating and an arrest ensue.

After a tumultuous one-night stand, Yelena and Kate reunite in the midst of a second Civil War between the New Avengers and Sam Wilson's Avengers. Sparks fly. Fists fly. Yelena is forced to reevaluate some choices and come to terms with the fact that she might have lost Kate for good.

It's the strangest coincidence that of all the people Kate could have spent the end of the world with, it's Yelena who is lying in the dust beside her.
“Are you scared?”
“Not really…,” Yelena says as if her hand didn't shake at all. “I had a lot of practice almost dying. You?”
Kate digs deep to be met with panic and fear and finds neither of it. There are worse things than dying while you get to hold hands with the girl you've been slowly falling in love with. Like having no one to hold hands with at all. So, no, Kate is not scared. The tingling sensation in her extremities and her dry mouth have another reason.

Summary
