Goku left him there, chest still glowing with that immutable warmth, unwilling to disturb Vegeta’s rest, and returned home to his wife. Chi-Chi barely glanced up from the clothesline where she had been hanging fresh linens when he appeared.
“Lunch isn’t ready yet, Goku. Why don’t you wash up and sit with Goten while he studies?”
When he hadn’t responded, Chi-Chi turned from her task, brow furrowed and hands on her hips.
“Earth to Goku!”
His hand drifted to the back of his head as he laughed.
“Sorry, Chi, I was kinda lost in thought there for a second.”
Her scowl turned to a bemused smile before settling into a concerned frown that accentuated the familiar lines between her brows and on either side of her mouth.
“What’s gotten into you, Goku?”
“I think I’m in love with Vegeta.”
Set shortly after Dragon Ball Super, but before the events of Dragon Ball Super: Broly. The wives are in on it, y'all. They know, and they ship these two harder than anyone else.

Vegeta absolutely hates him. But as the years go by, Bardock's brat seems to be the only one who can hold Vegeta's attention for more than a minute.
He hates him, but he can't live without him.
Only two problems with that: there's a war on, and Vegeta has to mate whomever his father picks out for him.

It was quiet in the aftermath—almost deafeningly so. There was only the sound of the wind blowing about the columns and ancient structures, combined with the laboured breathing of everyone else recovering around him.
Not that Flynn noticed any of that.
There was only one thing—one person—he was able to focus on. Yuri had always accused him of having tunnel vision, and deep down, Flynn knew that to be true. But now he realised exactly just how much it was true. His gaze was focused only on long raven hair, a haphazardly tied belt, slender legs in boots. And there was only one thing Flynn’s heart told him to do: to step forward, to make his way to Yuri’s side. The urge was so strong that it was almost as if Yuri’s heart was calling for him just the same. And maybe it was.
Flynn wanted to believe that it was.
Or: After their mutual confessions, Flynn and Yuri agree to keep their new relationship a secret from the rest of the party for now. That turns out to be easier said than done.

Flynn’s anger gives way to kindness. Yuri falls apart at the seams.
“I asked you about this scar months ago,” Flynn eventually says, voice unbelievably soft. “You said you didn’t remember where you got it from. It was obvious that you were hiding something, but I didn’t want to push things.” Flynn’s hand curls into a fist on top of him and from the tremors that follow, Yuri realises that it’s trembling. “I never would’ve imagined…”
Flynn finally looks at him. “Yuri,” he breathes. “Yuri, why didn’t you tell me?”

What he does instead is he turns back to his computer and un-mutes his mic.

He freezes when Jason's eyes snap up, and he stumbles back, widening the gap between them. Bruce doesn't try to approach him again, his heart in his throat.
"You're not my dad." Jason mumbles, and Bruce watches as the boy's pupils shrink, and he looks horrified at something Bruce can't see. He's staring right at him, but for some reason, it feels as though Jason is looking through him.
The words sting like acid, and Bruce ignores the crushing of his lungs, "I… okay. Okay Jason."
"No, no, Bruce." Jason sounds frantic, and he pulls at his hair, "You're not my dad. You're different."
(Bruce is late to patrol, Jason freaks out. And finally, they talk — better late than never, after all.)
