They sat there like that for several minutes, Chuuya’s hand over Dazai’s heart, before Dazai was able to speak. “Clean,” he mumbled. “I want to be clean.”
Chuuya studied him for a moment, watched his eye twitch underneath his eyelid, as if he was dreaming, speaking to Chuuya from a sleep world. Chuuya’s eyes drifted to his cupid’s bow, and he was entranced by the way it lifted when Dazai spoke again. “There’s so much blood, slug.”
Dazai wants to be clean. Chuuya helps him.

Gin didn’t know what to do when her brother woke her up from her uneasy slumber under their tree. Had shook her shoulders with a new, unfamiliar coat slung over him, woken her up with some desperate promise of a better life.
Maybe her brother was crazy. But maybe he was desperate, and maybe she was just as desperate as he was.
EXCERPT:
“What are we.. doing here?” Ryuu questioned meekly beside her, Dazai-san’s black coat still wrapped around him.
“I’m gonna give you a… cue the drumroll please….” He finger-gunned at them, as if waiting for them to do something. Ryuu blinked oddly, bringing his hands up to clap in an odd, patternless tune— slow and dry. Dazai-san deflated. “That’s not how you— whatever!” Like a balloon, he reinflated himself. “I’m gonna be giving you two a makeover!” He waved his splayed out hands around in a showy gesture, Gin’s eyes following each jolt of his palms.
