Summary
Jake pastes a mock glare onto his face, and casts his eyes around, searching for an ally. When he locks eyes with Heeseung, his mask falters.
Heeseung is staring at him, eyes half-lidded with intent, like he’s in the middle of a stage performance. For a wild moment, Jake feels as if the older boy can somehow read his mind, before common sense kicks in and banishes that thought from his head with a well-placed kick. He holds himself perfectly still, as Heeseung’s dark gaze bores into his own, nostrils flaring slightly as if searching for Jake’s scent (like Jake’s somehow a possible threat, or a rival.)

“What, you think In-ho-ssi is a secret serial killer?” Sae-byeok says, her voice dripping with judgement and derision.
“Nothing like that,” Gi-hun shakes his head, hastily. “He’s just- dark! And like- you know-”
Even as he continues to splutter, Sae-byeok turns away, a slender hand coming up to hide her lips. “No, not really.”
“Wait, are you laughing at me?!! Hey, Sae-byeok-”
A closer glance reveals that Sae-byeok is, indeed laughing at him, which means she doesn’t get him, and if she doesn’t get him, then how else is he supposed to make her believe that Hwang In-ho has a fucked-up brother complex, the size of Mt. Everest?

If there is a spectrum that covers the majority of friendships, Soobin wonders where this falls onto it.
Yeonjun has done a lot for him in the past, within reason. He’s brushed his teeth and changed his clothes for him. He’s kept secrets and promised not to let anyone else know whenever he’s seen him cry. They’ve snuck snacks and drinks out on late nights and kept quiet about it for weeks afterwards.
Yeonjun has done a lot for him, without the worry that he’s done too much or that Soobin will try and make him do more. It’s an endless sort of kindness. The kind that comes from a bottomless pit.
But for Soobin to ask him to pin him to a wall and get him off— and for Yeonjun to oblige with no hesitation— he can’t help but wonder.
Is this something friends should do for each other?
