Summary
Growing old and growing grey is a privilege and a curse. Vhagar has learnt her fair share of knowledge.
Yet, humans only remembered her as old and big. Worse, they only remembered her as a weapon, a trophy to the rider, and a backdrop for entitled kids. Dragons are more than that, and people have forgotten it, even their riders.
She would like to consider herself as Vhagar the Wise, and Visenya, I’m tired of your family shit, come and get me out of this godforsaken land!
OR
Vhagar prevented the Dance of Dragons, accidentally.

Life as a Farm owner and a Pokemon Researcher
or
Hadrian thought going on an adventure alone at the age of ten was too dangerous so he became a Pokemon researcher instead. And he thought everyone was insane because no one had an issue with letting kids go around the continent alone with creatures that could destroy a town easily.

Dear Mr. Bedard,
I hope this email finds you well! My name is Quentin Musty, and I'm a member of the editorial team at Architectural Digest. We're currently developing an upcoming feature that highlights the homes of individuals who have made an impact in their respective fields, and we would be delighted to include your Chicago residence in this issue.
Your home stood out to our team as an intriguing and thoughtful intersection between personal history and architectural design. We were particularly drawn to the story behind its design and the collaboration between you and architect Fraser Minten. For the feature, we would love to photograph the home and speak with you about the design process and your part in it.
If this is something of interest to you and your team, we would be happy to discuss timing, logistics, and any other questions you may have at your convenience! Thank you for your time, and we look forward to hearing from you.
Warmly,
Quentin Musty

This is genuinely amazing, and I feel like I am at a loss for words to even comprehend the level of skills and dedication that it needs to produce a work like this. What a labour of love!!!
I cannot stress enough that you are so so so so talented. You have not only penned them so tastefully but also written about them with so much kindness. You have given them both spaces to explore vulnerability, to explore the human flaws, to explore deeply personal insecurities despite both of them being very accomplished professionals in their industry.
You have handled the massive timeline (Fraser's childhood and his relationship with his dad, their time together on the ice, how they reconnect, and the present where their lives are intertwined) perfectly while not making it confused for the reader. You put architecture at the heart of their story beautifully and cleverly. Gosh I am genuinely amazed. The level of talent.
Their characters are beautiful too. Connor reflected everything via hockey. He "was off" in a match because he had a big fight with Fraser earlier. He was reminded that the house was soulless when he saw Fraser's jersey was missing and replaced. Fraser reflected everything through architecture, through arts and colour and shading and sketches. Being an architect also means that you are good at hiding things in plain sight, I assume. Just like the way Fraser has to hide his love, relationship, and half of his daily life away from the public, hiding himself in plain sight.
And yet, their love and relationship is so realistic and human. You get what you give, and you cannot have it all. Both Con and Frase choose to keep their place strictly for themselves because they choose each other. Which means no team bonding at the captain's house for Connor and no casual dinner gathering at your friend's kitchen for Fraser. They care for each other in their own way. Fraser as a homemaker and Connor as a caretaker. They swap roles when they need to. They work like a team, maybe not on the ice this time, but on plain concrete. They get each other's cues. Like when Fraser knows Connor's coffee and Connor's knows Fraser's desires. And so so so many more things. You make their love story so nuanced. You make them so real, so believable, so ALIVE. I would even argue that THEY should be honoured because there is someone like you love them enough to put them in these characters with their beautiful story.
The only thing I can relate to in this fic is the moving things. I have moved places many times in my life (for uni, for work) and seeing my personality being stripped away from the room or the walls makes me cry so many times. I don't know much about architecture but I have learnt so many beautiful things and details via this work. I think this is something anyone can read fandom-blind and still learn the many beauties and nuances of human relationships.
I am in awe. I owe you for this work. I am happy that you decided to share this amazing work with us. Thank you author. I hope you know that you have made an impact. I will re-read this so many more times. A story like this will stay with me for years. And I will forever spend time looking at buildings, wondering their stories and whether anyone named Fraser designed them.

Summary
"He didn’t know what he even was to Connor now, but whatever it was did not put him on the list of people who should be this worked up, he felt more than reasonably certain. On top of it all he was just so damn tired. Tired of fighting whatever this was, tired of the back and forth, tired of pretending he could just be friends with Connor. Tired of hating Connor a little every time he thought about the fact that Connor was apparently just fine being friends with him."
Connor's injury is trying Fraser's sanity as he's trying to keep his distance from Connor and their situationship.

Fraser is soooo down bad. My Minten, how lovesick you are. And the idea that Frase like having Connor as his weighted blanket just make my toes curllll omg he is soooo touchyyyyy.
This is such a beautiful work, such vulnerable intimacy and kindness all around. Thank you for writing this and sharing it with us <3
