Talon has finished its final task; dismantling the Court of Owls. All that's left is to turn itself over to the Batman to be safely disposed of, allowing Gotham to be free of Owls and Talons, forever. Except there's suddenly a child where there is not supposed to be, staring at Talon with wide eyes.

Virgil was content. They had a job doing what they loved, working for the twin Princes in the castle; they had two lovely partners, even if they couldn't officially reveal they were courting them; and they finally felt like a part of a complete family that understood them. Too bad someone shows up at the castle one day, unravelling the perfect life they had worked so hard for, and puts into motion a turn of events that would be revealed as something larger than Virgil could have ever expected. Virgil's just trying to survive.

Virgil Achlys had nobody. Well, Virgil had the forest, and only the forest. It’s why they decided to kill themself at the big willow tree hidden deep in the woods. At the very least, they could die by their only friends. Maybe if they were lucky, they would be able to see some of the animals before they died. It could be peaceful.
