The teenager stood at the corner of Abraham and Lawrence Streets, a dark blue, hooded sweater pulled up over his head, shielding his face from direct view. It did wonders to conceal the black eye he was sporting too, at least until it was too late for anyone to notice it. A frustrating 36 hours after being released from the McLean Juvenile Detention Centre three hours away, Stiles was back on the street again to do the very thing he’d been thrown in for.
Or the one where Stiles life is pretty shitty, gets worse when he meets Peter the dirty cop, and Derek saves the day.

Summary
This is a rewrite of the story 'Cold Alone', currently under rewrite due to not enjoying the format of the story.
Stiles is having a hard time finding what role he plays in the pack. Only when the danger is now on him does the pack realize just how far out of reach Stiles was. In a way to earn back what they lost, the pack is wrapped around Stiles whether he likes it or not.
Derek let his feelings get in the way, despite hiding them behind his harsh words, and he is suddenly facing the consequences when Stiles starts to pull away from him. Only then does he realize just how he can't live without Stiles.

The war between Nemeton and Gévaudan has ended but with great cost. The now conquering King Theo has retruned from plundering the villages for fresh meat to serve the palace, and more importantly himself.
Stiles was ripped away from his simple but content life in Beacon Hills to serve as Theo's most recent obession. Seeing how ruthless the man was during his last obession & the fall out from the resulting war - Stiles struggles to not only survive the the man but also protects the few friends he has within the castle.
Which would admittedly be a lot easier if the god damn annoying engima of a man, Lord Hale did not have to go around looking like addonis rencarted.

Derek pauses his movement. “Look,” He starts. “you’re not exactly innocent in all of this either.”
Stiles raises a challenging eyebrow and folds his arms.
“I tried to talk to you before me and Kate...” Derek sighs. “Before we started to see each other.”
Stiles scoffs.
“Can’t believe you’re trying to blame me for you not knowing how to keep your dick in your pants.”
“I’m not blaming you!” Derek barks. “I-I just want you to see that you don’t make things easy. We barely saw each other unless it was to drop off Eli at school or practice. And when we were in the same vicinity of one another, it was like I wasn't even there.”
Stiles unfolds his arms and sniffles before looking at Derek. Really looking at him.
“I’m sorry that you felt like I wasn't the perfect partner while working and trying to take care of our kid.”
It’s sudden, but Stiles grabs a mug half filled with cold tea and lugs it at Derek.

He just pouted while being carried through the store, one of the girls helping Derek with what he needed and bringing it all to the cash register for him since he seemed reluctant to loosen his grip on Stiles. He probably didn’t want him wiggling free and wreaking havoc across the store.
He was pretty destructive, he’d admit that.
