Summary
Yeonjun thought that he was in love with Beomgyu, once. Back in college. So naive. Now he's almost thirty, and he knows that love comes with pain and sacrifice. That's why his wife has left and won't tell him when she's coming home, that's why his daughter who adores him accidentally destroys everything she touches.
Love is more raw and real and emotional than anything that Yeonjun ever felt with Beomgyu. He still misses him, though. Life was simple back then.
(Life becomes a smidge more complicated when the idea of divorce appears on the horizon, and when Yeonjun meets his daughter's brand-new preschool teacher, who has a very different outlook on what happened between them seven years ago.)

“I just—ah,” Yeonjun pants, letting out a shaky breath as Beomgyu mouths towards his ear, giving a little nibble on his earlobe before pressing soft kisses there. His hesitance is no longer due to embarrassment, but distraction—which is exactly what Beomgyu was going for. His tongue drags down the edge of his ear, and Yeonjun swallows hard. “I own something that… that could get us both what we want,” he breathes out, throaty and whined.
Now this makes Beomgyu pause, pulling back to look down at his boyfriend. “You… own something?” He parrots, eyebrows raised. His expression is probably less quizzical and more like a starved animal, but he doesn’t care.
Yeonjun’s blushing again, but he easily pulls at Beomgyu’s waist, lifting him off him to push him onto the bed, rolling out from underneath his thighs. He moves across the room with purpose, going straight to his closet and digging around in the back corner, pulling out a box.
When he stands from where he was crouched on the ground, he turns around with a very long, very pink dildo in his hand.
Beomgyu wants to fuck Yeonjun. Yeonjun wants to fuck Beomgyu. They find a solution.

The man tuts timely. "Woah, uncool."
Beomgyu scrunches up his face, giving Yeonjun that look. He's about to be annoying. "That's because you were too busy avoiding me because you were too scared of screwing up around me because of your so-called 'unrequited crush'. Oh, Beomgyu, I'm too tired to hang out, I can't—"
Yeonjun grabs his boyfriend's collar and tries to throttle him. Beomgyu shrieks, shoving him away, then immediately grabs his hand again.
Beomgyu's not wrong, though. Yeonjun had been terrified about how his confession would go. Even with all of the assurances from Taehyun, he'd doubted that Beomgyu liked him back — he didn't trust that he was likeable enough and anyways, he'd resolved to confess on April Fools of all days. That was a dumb idea. Yeonjun is famous for his dumb ideas, though. And they usually work out — this one clearly did.
Yeonjun chooses the worst possible day to begin making a move.
