“...What are you doing today?” Rhett asks suddenly, leaning onto the locker next to him and crossing their arms across their chest.
“Studying.” Blu responds bluntly, though unaware of that fact.
“Do you do anything else, bro?” They ask, raising a brow at the circle.
“Of course I do!”
“Yeah right, I only ever see you study, and maybe bake, but that's rare.” They poke fun at him, chuckling to themselves.
“Well then if you have a proposal on what should take up my free time, be my guest!” Blu exclaims while stepping forward, crossing his arms over his chest to mimic Rhett, slightly on his toes to meet the face of the other shape.
Rhett reddens and backs away, eyebrows shooting up and eyes wide. For a second, Blu thinks that he pissed them off, and is about to stutter another apology before Rhett opens their mouth to speak.
“...I-I was-” The red one starts to stammer out before sharply inhaling and changing their expression to a calmer one, as if they just reset.
“Wanna hang out?” They ask, leaning back on the locker.

Rhett feels like a freak drawing this. They feel stupid.
They know exactly what they're thinking and feeling, but they refuse to say it out loud or even consciously think it out of fear of confirmation.
It's nice to pretend they aren't experiencing what they are and knowing what they do.
They don't even have a chance… Blu is Muslim, and Rhett is AMAB, and to make it worse, they arent even cis. What are the odds fate is on their side?
They're such an idiot… Blu is an idiot…
But Rhett kinda likes it. They like a cute, stubborn, idiot.
But they don't plan on executing anything with that information. It's better to stay where they are and not get hurt. You can't reach Rome if you don't move, right?

It had been six years since Puzzles had been spat out of a rift. Six years since he had sacrificed himself alongside his closest friend WPNZ, with the full intent of not making it out alive. Six years since he had survived. Alone.
With his motivation in the gutter and his mental state decaying, Puzzles was offered an odd means of reclaiming his confidence. A tournament of villains, designed to pit big bads against each other to prove their prowess- all while being aired on live TV!
With the slim hope of finding WPNZ as another competitor, Puzzles accepts. Accompanied by his assistant/protege Bone Drone, the pair set off to a secluded island, ready to face whatever dastardly challenges await them in this tournament.
But neither of them are truly prepared to face the evils that lie below the surface of the ‘friendly’ competition. And only time will tell whether they make it out alive… or are consumed like so many others that came before them.

Summary
A few weeks or so had passed since WPNZ had his horrible nightmare, and things seemed to return to normal. Maybe even a little too normal. Both he and Puzzles have gotten back into the swing of things, committing petty crimes here and there and robbing banks for fun and profit. After getting stuck in a rainstorm while running away from police however, the two are feeling especially irritated and question if their life of crime is worth all the trouble anymore. While trying to find a dry place to hide, they end up finding something that's anything BUT boring.
