Except, what if Rudo was never conveniently 'rescued' by Enjin?
Enjin leaves a confused and vengeful Rudo with the traffickers, and after a long, painful half-year of torture and starvation, he is led to the conclusion that everyone on the ground- in his hell- are greedy, self-serving bastards that only stand in his way to the journey back to Heaven.
Rudo lives on the side of a road leading to a town he hasn’t bothered to know the name of, eats rotting food and plastics that have even the faintest scent of edibility- and is constantly exhausted from dealing with people who don't know what he's been through and don't care enough to not shoot their weapons.
He might be hurting, reckless, and untrustful- but he’s still alive, along with his many enemies.So he’s not gonna die just yet.

Summary
Lu Guang knows he’s a monster.
Cursed from birth with a migraine-inducing ability that seemed to attract the worst kinds of people, and stuck in what genuinely might be the world’s worst cult, he just didn’t know what to do.
That was, until he escaped alone when he was eleven years old, unsure of the outside and all of its dangers.But after nine kilometers of railroad track, a whole two months free from his family, and one old, run-down train station, he finally meets someone who claims they trust him- and who also won’t leave him the hell alone.
His ‘friend’ seems persistent- well, scaling five-meter tall trees just to give him a boxed lunch can’t be called unenthusiastic- and so, they end up building some sort of a friendship together. Kind of. Maybe.
However, Lu also knows he can’t keep his past a secret forever, and he’s aware that there are a lot of ugly, evil adults searching for him at any given moment.And so, with blaring train horns echoing across the station’s platform, he ends up having to make a choice-

Summary

Charlie, however, considers it a win for both sides. Her half-brother and his menacing GF get to suck face for hours on end, and she gets a few hours of freedom with their absence.
So, as anticipated, she does what both of them knew she’d do--and she lives it up for one full, chaotic night.

This work is written beautifully, with some of the most intricate and unique formatting I’ve seen yet. The plot is complicated yet easy to follow, and everything flows seamlessly through. It’s one work that I’d choose to read over and over, time and time again.
I can’t rate this yet because it’s not finished, but I do imagine it to be pretty high in the rankings.

Summary
Lu Guang discreetly comes down, legs shaking but still somewhat supporting him. With so few feelings to enjoy, he has to make the most of this time.
But when he raises his head, he sees a boy with black hair, tears in his eyes and snot all over his face.
Ew.
What an ugly crier.
He would ignore him, but the boy keeps staring straight at him. He hiccups. And then pointing at him, mouth gaping open, he seems about to yell.
About to tell the adults around what he was doing.

"It's time to wake up."
I have never- NEVER- read anything as good as this; hell, it goes toe-to-toe with the original series! The comedy, the subtle plot points, the ART. THE ART IS SO FREAKING GOOD! I kinda hate that I read it.. because I wasted my first AMAZING experience and will never get to feel such astounding emotion ever again, argh!! I love how it references different poems and other stories about time, and compares them excellently. I literally cannot find a single thing wrong with this incredible work.. I'd give a thousand kudos to this if I could.

Step 4: Accidentally fall for said tutor, who looks like he hasn't smiled since dinosaurs went extinct.Cheng Xiaoshi didn't plan on catching feelings. He just wanted to pass statistics so he wouldn't get benched from the basketball team. But now, he’s plotting regression equations and calculating the trajectory of Lu Guang’s perfect shoulders— and one of them is certainly his preferred variable in this equation.

This outstanding story is a one-of-a-kind yaoi MASTERPIECE. The slow burn, the misunderstandings, the dialogue.. they all feel so real! It also is absolutely hilarious, which adds to its charm.
It’s not finished yet, so I can’t rate it, but this is definitely one of the highest-rated fics I’ve read, ever.
