    At first, they seemed like any other group of fierce corpses, shambling and seemingly aimless, almost something of an inevitability in a land so torn and barely sewn back together with countless wars. Many people die violently, many die unburied, many die unjustly, and it's laughable to think that all the cultivation sects across the land would have the time or incentive to care for them all. Awash in blood, most were elderly, wiry yet frail as farmers tend to be.

    And then, they started going for the Great Clans, tearing the strongest Cultivators of the land limb from limb with teeth and bare hands, leaving everyone else untouched and unharmed in their wake as they shamble on - Resolute and sure, as if guided by an innate knowledge of the ground beneath their feet - to destinations unknown.

    Or, the Wen remnants demand a recompense.
