The air was thick with imminent rain the day the man first stepped foot in the village. Her residents tucked themselves under lintels and lampposts, whispers all but drowned out by the brewing storm above. There had been rumors from Grispierre— barely four leagues away— of an aging Witchfinder who had been found on the outskirts of the weald. His body had been mangled, his blood smattered against the grass as if he’d been dragged from within. Most peculiarly, if the letters were to be believed, a glistening vine had sprouted from the man’s gaping mouth and pierced his flesh from sternum to navel. The man could confirm those rumors as true, if any soul were brave enough to ask him, as he was the one to have discovered his master’s remains.

Summary
He froze when he saw a small snake slithering up the stem of his staff.
It was a smooth black, adorned with blue diamond-shaped patterns. Though it was quite small, that didn’t mean it wasn’t intimidating. He watched as the snake slithered up to eye level, staring at him with piercing knowing eyes.
Pure Vanilla Cookie snapped out of his shock and smiled fondly, what a curious creature, he must’ve woken it up.
“Hello there, little one,” He said lightly and quietly, careful not to disturb the peace and silence of the small clearing.
The snake stuck out its tongue and retracted it slowly. Pure Vanilla Cookie offered his hand, he watched as the snake's eyes dropped to look at his hand, Pure Vanilla Cookie watched as it lifted itself a little straighter.

Strange things start to happen after their airship crash-landed into Best-Yeast. Perhaps it's his Soul Jam that has started to act up that's making Pure Vanilla uneasy, or the feeling of being watch that's growing more overwhelming.

It's over.
The beasts have won.
Shadow Milk SHOULD be overjoyed, and he IS. However, victory is much less satisfying then he thought, though maybe that has something to with a certain cookie locked away in a tower, untouched by the chaos of the world. 'Protected.' For some reason despite now having full control of the soul jam Shadow Milk is still pulled to play games and spend time with a certain truthful sage. Maybe if he keeps pressing he'll find out how to get rid of the nasty feeling in his chest.
Meanwhile Eternal Sugar Cookie deals with her nightmare, a surge of passion that threatens to dismantle the joy she's built for everyone. The joy that she's worked hard to give Hollyberry Cookie.
