When Harry Potter arrives back at Privet Drive after the events of his second year, he has no clue about the hellish summer he’s in for. The Dursleys are mad about the stunt he and the Weasleys pulled with the bars on his window, and as a result, Harry returns for his third year at Hogwarts an incredibly different person. He’s always been an incredibly understanding, empathetic boy, practically incapable of holding grudges.
Not anymore.

Summary
Mike and Will are not completely new to intimacy. They show each other affection constantly. Be it holding hands, bumping knees, kissing, compliments, pet names, leaving hickeys.
But that's where it stops.
They've talked about sex, discussed their feelings on it, agreed that they want to do it together, whenever they're both ready for it. And for a while, that was it.
It never came up again, and they both felt content with it. Maybe it'll come naturally, work out, like things usually do with the two of them.
Only lately something has shifted. Neither of them is sure when and how it happened, but things have started to heat up.

They only have one last summer before they go off to college, and Will is sick of keeping his cards so close to his chest. So, in a fit of alcohol-induced bravery, he tells Mike everything.
Instead of breaking his heart, Mike proposes a deal: they’ll date for the summer. Get Mike out of Will’s system, show him he makes for a lousy boyfriend anyway, and make sure there aren’t any what-ifs waiting for him in New York.
No stone left unturned, after all.

What did he hope to find in the arms of a Mike Wheeler who's suddenly comfortable enough to go to gay bars in New York? That he was just going to have sex with his first love, who's gotten even prettier than he was six years ago and realise, oh, actually yeah I'm definitely over you?

But he can't face palm hard enough to leave a mark right now, because as he mentioned before, Mike is naked, lying on top of him, gently kissing up and down his neck, still warm and sticky inside him. He can't face palm, because he was wrong, and being wrong has never felt so right.

Summary
