“...that has the sports world talking. Aoi Amawashi is returning to the green this summer. The once rising star was the youngest golf player to go pro in Japan, but sadly had to step away from the sport due to health reasons. She had a strong showing in the British Open three years ago, ending three under American prize queen Juha Hamilail before she had to withdraw. Athen’s brand CEO and Aoi’s mother, Seira Amawashi, announced this week that she would be participating in a celebrity charity golf tournament hosted by international actress Kawaru Natari in the summer…”
Eve's past comes back to haunt her as she tries to repair her relationship with Aoi after three years apart.

Summary
Black Swan remembered the day she abandoned her body vividly. It was hard to forget seeing your own flesh and blood dissolve away into nothing before your very eyes, no matter how much one might wish to.
The flesh was confining and transient. It was limited by the physical laws of the world, and encumbrance for those that moved about in the realm of the spirit and memory.
The body was crude. It needed, and craved, and feared, and hungered, and desired.
Acheron made Black Swan remember what it meant to have a body.

Kirari smiled.
“You know.” She tilted her head. “Upon striking, the peacock mantis shrimp has enough strength to break the glass of its aquariums. It never does though. That’s only for feeding.” She leaned back, observing her twin. “You used to be like that. I don’t think that’s the case anymore though.”
Ririka’s voice was muffled as she rubbed her eyes. “If it wasn’t for Terano she could simply forget about me. Like I tried to do with her.”
Kirari’s eyes softened. “If it wasn’t for Terano, you wouldn’t have met me again either. Some could say that you should take this as a good omen.”

“Ten years and you are already giving me a headache.” Terano moved closer, and Kirari had to fight the urge to step back, to retreat.
“When we last parted, you left me with a fair bit more than a headache.” Kirari placed her hands on her hips. “I think you can manage.”
“Fair enough.” There was no sarcasm in Terano’s words. “So, you go by Igarashi now?” She leaned forward, squinting at the ID badge clipped to the breast pocket of Kirari’s lab coat.
“It’s not ‘what I go by,’ it’s my name.” Kirari crossed her arms, left over right. The ring on her left hand shining under the fluorescents.
“I see,” Terano leaned back. “My apologies. And a congratulations is in order too, I suppose.”

"You've come to slay dragons, haven't you?" Kirari twisted the girl's face in her hands, forcing their eyes to meet, her thumbnail biting into her skin. The lights gleamed in the wet trails of her tears. "You can't be afraid of fire."

Summary
Sayaka stepped into the elevator down the hall and pressed the button to take her to the lobby. A jazzy rendition of “Jingle Bells” was playing softly from the speakers in the corners of the ceiling. For all of Takeuchi’s talk of “tradition” and “outsiders,” he didn’t seem to have any problem embracing the foreign holiday of Christmas.
She shook her head. A person’s prejudices were not logical. It was a fool’s errand to try and find deeper meaning in them. Maybe one day, with enough time, he’ll come to understand the truth Sayaka grasped instantly; that the day her company had been bought out had been the best day of her life.

“Hello there, ghosts,” Kirari placed a hand to her chest delicately. “It’s me, your descendent. Or perhaps the descendant of your employer.” She looked around, eyes wide and fearless. “If you are present, please make yourself known.”

“William of Occam was an English friar that wanted to find a way to prove miracles. To make things short, he came to the conclusion that often times, the simplest solution is often the best one.” She gently ran her fingers through Sayaka's hair one more time.
“Do you know why I asked you to come with me?” She asked again, this time with more urgency. Sayaka shook her head, jaw relaxed. "Think on it.” She whispered, touching Sayaka's arm gently, then left the room.

Summary
For the first time since boarding the Argus Limited, they were finally able to relax. No Grimm, no assassins or the hostility of nature, just the disquieting comfort of being surrounded by the might of the Atlas military.
But after all of the danger and stress, the sudden stop felt less like a well earned vacation, and more like pulling the emergency break on a speeding freight train. All that energy didn't just disappear. It had to go somewhere.
