The ringing is replaced with a heavy pounding. It may be soothing but it’s too fast and too irregular. It’s broken. Broken. Broken. Broken.
“Overriding flight controls.”
Broken like Peter will be, because Tony failed. Because Tony is failing him. Because Howard was right and Tony is a fucking failure.
Tony feels solid ground under his feet as the suit collapses around him.
Without the support of the suit, his knees buckle and he collapses.
There’s a loud (loud, loud, loud, everything is so loud) metallic clang behind him. Some clicking noise and then a voice.

Summary
It was a bad morning today, meaning that whatever Tim put on didn’t feel right. Tim couldn’t look in the mirror for too long, only being met with a face that was a little wrong and hair that was too short, but Tim had never thought of growing it out because that’s not what boys do.
Or: Tim’s struggle with being gender-fluid without knowing what that is. (Also, I don’t know how to do titles, so that may change)

Watching Steve sit alone that first day- even with his ex and her new squeeze crowding his table- former King of Hawkins High with his bruised up face and puppy dog eyes, and apparently, knight in shining armor tendencies, Eddie never stood a chance.
It's Jeff, in the end, that finally badgers Eddie enough to let Steve be dragged over to their table- into Hellfire, and Dungeons & Dragons, and hopefully right into Eddie's arms- after Steve intervenes to stop Jeff being harrassed in the halls.
Now Eddie just needs to figure out what he's going to do with all of it.
Aka a hellfire adopts Steve fic, because give the boy some friends (and a boyfriend).

Summary
After a harrowing near-death experience and a romance that changed everything he knew about himself, Steve Harrington is doing just fine, thank you. But when a simple errand with Dustin Henderson turns into a trip through time to the days of Will's disappearance, he has to navigate through battles of the past, friends unaware monsters exist, and a Steve Harrington he can barely recognize.
A revisitation of Season One that grabs themes (and some characters) from later seasons, with lots of Dustin-Steve bonding, mistaken identity, DnD metaphors, El being El, Steve and Robin vibing early, and homeschool for the temporally displaced.
Now complete! We have French, Spanish, and Portugese-speakers who've read and reviewed this fic. If anyone is interested in translating, please let me know.
