Summary
Five times someone fought on Shane Hollander’s behalf, and one time they didn’t have to.
No one would ever call Shane a fighter - he'd learned that lesson from his mother first, and later from coaches who preferred him scoring half a dozen goals to sitting in the penalty box. It was around age thirteen, when Shane's voice had started cracking and his shins started screaming with growing pains when he ran for too long, that he'd learned his hands were worth more than a fist fight on the ice. Around the same time the other, less talented boys started making up for what they lacked in skill or hockey IQ by bashing each other into the boards.

Someone that knows exactly how to make him laugh and someone he doesn’t have to hide his quirks from and someone who allows his own asshole side to shine when Shane wants it to.
Shane loves Ilya, is in love with him. It’s just that Ilya is also his best friend.
Or, 5 times that Shane gets annoyed by people thinking he's supposed to control Ilya, and 1 time he finally says something about it.
