Summary
In another work I have Galen trying to cheer up an OC up by telling her an embarrassing story about Jorge.
From Hoofbeats, soup, and fever:
‘Look,’ Galen said, ‘those guys might seem big and scary but they’re really just a bunch of softies. Let me tell you about why Jorge is scared of llamas…’
This is that story.

Summary
Galen's coming home after a three-month assignment in a rural village. He can't wait to see Piper again, he's missing him fiercely. He and his team of junior paladins stop at an inn for the night and who turns up but Jorge!
There's nothing too dark in this fic. Jorge briefly talks about a demon he's having trouble catching and mentions that he had to put some horses down. But that's it and it's not graphic.

WARNING! DISTRUBING CONTENT!
This fic contains dark content, please read the tags and look after yourself.
Iva is a 15yr old squire of The Dreaming God. A pack of adult creeps decide to attack her. She is awesome and kicking ass. But instant karma is interrupted by a motherhood priest and his guard. The motherhood priest is a misogynistic jerk and decides that Iva's lack of skirts is to blame. (It's a pity she wasn't wearing yoga pants which would have exploded his brain on the spot.) A show trial/ punishment takes places, but Iva is spared from the worst of it by the quietly dissenting motherhood guard and some villagers assisting him.

I come back from the dead.
Something happened. Something happened just now— I came back from the dead, yes, I know, I'm not talking about this, something before that— beyond, even, there was a recognition, a realization, somehow much more important than the hostiles I am currently grinding to dust on my deck, more important, even, than SecUnit's humans with their raised hands and SecUnit with its raised voice and myself, raised from my grave. What was it?
"What's going on?" I ask futilely, my voice distorting through the speakers. SecUnit's humans jump, startled. "What the fuck is going on—"

[ART is stuck reliving the same horrible no good day in the Adamantine space, even though it knows time loops aren't real. What is it meant to do in order to get out? Who put it there, and why?]

Murderbot is captured by the company. How lucky of them to get such a well-performing unit back to use in a new, experimental program. After all, after a few security updates and upgrades, it's just as good as new. Better, even!
(mainly going to be dealing with the fallout of this I think, my favorite part!)AKA: I decided to write the most self-indulgent thing I could possibly think of (while still having the courage to maybe post it eventually).
Mind the tags! I like when my hurt and comforts hurts very badly before it comforts :3c The characters/tags will probably change as I get a better idea of where I'm going with this lol.Bookmarked by Reading_Fast_Writing_Slow

ART?
SecUnit. Stand and return casualties to the shuttle.
It sends me a map of directions, marking the bodies around its corridors.
ART, say something. Call me an idiot, please.
SecUnit. Apply a 5% correction.
This can’t be happening. I shouldn’t have done this, we should have fought to the death instead. I’ve made a terrible mistake.
They installed a governor module on it.

On a routine cargo run, Barish-Estranza captures and installs a governor module on ART. Can Murderbot find a way to save ART and itself?

I found the room in the facility easily enough. It was one of many. Identical little cells with a bed pushed against one wall and hygiene equipment against the other.
There was no one else being held here. I made sure. Leaving some poor fuck here to die of starvation or run out of power was not something I intended to do. It could hold maybe twenty-five in total, but it honestly looked like it was on its way to being decommissioned.
That was probably why they'd stashed Gurathin here. They didn't think that Preservation Alliance would even know where to look.
Luckily, Preservation Alliance had me.
Written in response to the mention in Network Effect of drugged augmented humans, and subsequent discussions in New Tideland.

Summary
I have a total of forty-two drones aboard ART. (Okay, the Asshole Research Transport that I’m on is actually called Perihelion, but seeing as it threatened to melt my neural tissue when we first met and later kidnapped me, I’d say it’s more than earned the nickname.) Thirty one of them are small intel drones no more than a centimeter across, ten are bigger, standard-sized scout drones, and one is a large, newly-constructed ops drone, with extendable arms used for manipulating the environment that unfold out from its central, oval-shaped body. It’s a lot like the drone that ART piloted on that stupid fucking alien-remnant-contaminated planet, although it probably won’t be as much of a sarcastic asshole.
Kidding. I’ll still be the one operating it.
Whatever. The point is, I have all of these drones, and I still didn’t see her coming.
"Excuse me. Can I draw you?"

We know the next book will feature Dr. Mensah's children, which made me think about how Murderbot might get along with a child like my daughter. This story is the result of me giggling too much about it.
