“Wait, what the fuck? Pause,” Katsuki suddenly says. “That was super fucking weird. I’d never fucking do that, what? Why did – I. Deku: I wouldn’t do that.”
Izuku smiles, nodding, “I know, Kacchan - it’s okay!”
“What the actual fuck? I don’t know why the fuck I said that, holy shit, like what?” He looks up. Huffs out a small laugh, raises a hand to curl his fingers into his ashened strands. Gets that far away look in his eye again.
Katsuki whispers in a bit of a sing-song voice, “That was sooo fucking weirddd,” he laughs and looks at Izuku again. “Right? That was, like. Like, fucking weird to say?”

Izuku shivers just from that little praise, eyes wide open as he stares up at Katsuki. His face is /pink/, mouth ajar without him even realizing it. His little tongue darts out to wet the bottom lip, and if Katsuki strains his ears, he can hear the tiny breathless whine he lets out when Katsuki doesn't immediately follow up with another instruction.

“Sorry,” Izuku said, wiping the gravy off with the back of his hand. “Um… this is —” Did Okami even have a word for squid? Gods, he was so unpractised. “Summer festival food,” he explained instead. “Y-Yummy.” To his own horror, Izuku began rubbing a circle over his stomach.
Katsuki’s lip quirked, and Izuku prayed very hard for Nana-sama to lightning strike him into ash.
Izuku’s shoulders sagged. “My Okami—”
“—Is still atrocious.” Katsuki smirked, clearly revelling in the shock on Izuku’s face.
Izuku and Katsuki weren't meant to become close. They weren't even really meant to meet. The differences between their clans — and the significant language barrier between them — should have ensured that.
But nobody has ever needed perfect grammar to fall in love anyway.
