Summary
I’ve always felt like most of us really only liked Arcadia because Mulder and Scully got to play ‘house’, but I think there’s a great story in there. So here’s my take. Think of it as a canon-adjacent retelling. I’ve pulled in a little from an early version of the script, particularly the characterisation of the Shroeders, but I wanted to dig into the idea of the HOA being a cult and give Mulder and Scully something to really investigate.
It’s a bit of a case fic but with lots of domestic MSR moments because I was a shipper long before I was a storyteller.
This is a work in progress, but I plan to upload new chapters every few days.

Summary

Potts's open admiration for Scully sparks intense jealousy in Mulder, who grapples with the idea of Scully finding a "normal" life.

Summary
Welcome to a brand new story! My muse is insisting on an action-heavy case file this time around. Since I normally live comfortably in the world of fluff and slow burn, I'm definitely feeling a little insecure about the shift! But this concept has been living in my head for a while now, inspired by my obsession with Milagro, and I just couldn't ignore it anymore. So, here goes nothing!
I tend to agonize and nitpick over every single word before I hit publish, but my goal is to get you a new chapter every few days. I really hope you like it!

‘I’m.. scared,’ she admitted softly into the darkness.
He was cut down by those words, floored, emptied, hallowed out and stung. She never uttered such things, never shared any weaknesses with anyone. He was filled with an agonising helplessness. He wanted to put her back in her body, to watch the two halves of her become one again.
The Scully in his bed, reunited with her soul, her warmth and her movement.
The Scully at his side, rejoined with her muscles and cells and choices.Tears clung at his lashes and his jaw ached from pretending that he had any control over anything.
‘I’m scared, too. But we can’t give up. I’ll show them the proof. I’ll… I’ll fight, Scully. They won’t do anything to you.’

Summary
Dead. Mulder was dead (kind of at least). Now he's not. Time moved on without him, and everything feels off kilter.
For him it feels like days, but six months has passed since he was taken, and Scully is very visibly pregnant, and although he's curious about that, his brain keeps skipping on that whole being dead thing. Nothing feels right, and he doesn't know how to be, or feel or exist in his own space.
And then he finds the shirts that Scully would cuddle up with when she snuck into his apartment, and he finds the voicemails she'd left on his machine.
An exploration into how Mulder may have been feeling around the time of Three Words, and bridging some of the gap between Deadalive and Three Words.
