Summary
Regulus Black doesn’t do friends. He certainly doesn’t do crowded Gryffindor-led hangouts in the common room. But seventh year is strange and soft and nothing like before—and somehow he ends up there anyway, folded into a group that includes his loud twin, his loud twin’s quiet boyfriend, and James Potter, who is loud in a whole different way.
Regulus doesn’t touch. Doesn’t trust. Doesn’t speak much.
James does all three—too much, too easily.
And then: not at all.
Because James learns how to wait.
