Tim crashes out from his hiding spot, clambering up the side of the nearest building—they’re closer here, close enough for even him to jump between him, to make his trip faster. All that matters now is speed, not even the threat of falling to the ground enough to stop him from racing across rooftops in a way he’s never dared before, urgency sunken into his very bones and pushing him through the pain wracking every bit of him from his mad dash across the city.
Something is happening, his bones chant, his blood singing along to the tune of immediate need, very being thrumming to the knowledge that something is happening, and he needs to be there to change it, to change some event that is more a part of this world than he will ever be.

"Ya shithead, Dean. It was da kid. He actually thanked da boss for playing his favorite song." Both men burst into laughter. Dick followed them from the shadows, his jaw tightening in anger, but he was shocked at how the kid kept his cool. Respect.
OR Dick visits Gotham with full intentions of avoiding Batman but hears a couple bastards talking about having kidnapped a kid and goes to follow them. Who the kid is... that's what is the plot.
