Will knew he was considered a weirdo — in Hawkins, that is.
New York was different, though. And even though change was one of the things that scared him the most, he thrived in the city. He liked the anonymity of it. He liked the streets swarmed with people, the brightness of a city that never seemed to sleep, always busy in one way or another.
(Not to mention the superhero thing because — holy shit.)
He liked NYU and the people, too.
Which brings him to his newest friend, if he could call him that.
Peter Parker.
Or: Peter was hiding one thing or a hundred, and Will was always interested in mysteries (that included people, and not some dimensional creatures hunting him for sport). Regardless, he decides to try to become Peter's friend; he will never regret that. Even if the boy seems to have a beef with Spider-Man, Will learns what to mention and what not.

Once upon a time, he might’ve liked to have everything done and systematic. He wanted to be good for Batman at the start, then prove himself worthy of the name ‘Robin’ in the best way he could. He hated getting bored and loved a cold case to solve or people to analyse in order to understand them better.
Now, it was a need. He needed things done. He had to take care of something far greater than himself or his boredom. It wasn’t fun anymore. Well, it never really was fun, but either something close to that or something he could pretend was fun; it wasn’t something to relax to, something to calm his mind or occupy him. It was an ‘I have to’.
He could get out of this, but...he didn’t want to. He wanted his best friend to kidnap him and take him far away from this city and his responsibilities.
Kon smiled brightly. Tim’s lips quirked up, too, involuntarily.
“Pack up, Boy Wonder! We're leaving! Right. Now.”

Royal Ball was announced. They happened once every few years, to keep the community together. The last ball took place five years ago, and Ralph remembered just how crowded it had been, just how many people he talked to – it seemed enormous for the little him.
Except this time, people are talking about Will. They are talking about how he’s supposed to find someone dear to him at the ball. There are rumors. Maybe he has found love, and she may even be there; she’ll dance with the heir until midnight, and everyone will get to see the prince smile at the most beautiful girl there is.
Ralph couldn't walk through the town for a month after the announcement without getting sick to his stomach.

No matter what everyone thought, Logan was quite good at controlling his emotions. Yes, he did prefer to let his feelings out by crying from time to time, but he was never an aggressive person. Nevertheless, he did get angry from time to time.
And he might have caught some of the protectiveness from Tyler, sue him.
I’ll pile them up and set them on fire, he thought, watch them burn.

Ben was stitching Tyler up on the way back to the graveyard. Taylor was still fussing over him. Logan focused on keeping an eye out as he stood in the back of the car, his gun ready to shoot.“How many did Logan kill before he got to us?” Aiden asked completely unprompted.
“Uhh,” Taylor sounded confused as Ben held up three of his fingers, while still focused on Tyler’s arm. Aiden gasped at the revelation.
“What!” he shrieked. “That’s sixteen,” he said, more to himself than others. Tyler looked his way with a smirk. Logan turned back around on the road. He might have overreacted. Just a little.

“Thank you for that.” He smiled at her. She did the same. She’s been helping him so much, and they’ve only spoken for a few days at best.
They looked at each other as if they both held a million secrets in their hearts. And they did, beyond the Upside-down part, too.
“You’re a great friend.” Robin seemed shocked for a second before a smile formed on her face. She hit him in the shoulder, a gentle yet firm reminder that he wasn’t alone.
This is nice, he thought.
“Careful, Byers — my ego's about to fly off to the moon."
“Oh, wouldn’t dream of that.”
“Little shit.”
