Aemond catches them staring and glares at them hatefully. He grins back at him.
“Sometimes, I wonder if you’re going mad,” Lucerys tells him, looking between the two. “Other times, I remember you went mad a long fucking time ago.”
(Or, Jacaerys is a Viking as well as a Targaryen and Aemond is the prize he’s claimed for himself).

Summary
It's been four years since a dragon-war has been narrowly avoided and Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen, the first of her name, has ruled the Seven Kingdoms, keeping the legacy of her father intact. Her large and unruly family dwell in King's Landing, mostly in peace if less so in harmony. With the exception of Lucerys Velaryon, who catches his grandfather's wonder-lust and joins the Sea Snake on one of his grand adventures on the high seas. They are gone for years... until one day, a tall and dangerous-looking rogue finds his way back to the Red Keep.
Aemond Targaryen, now living the peaceful life he was never trained for but is thankful for nonetheless, is about to trade peace for something he is even less prepared for.
