When a confrontation with a powerful magic user goes awry, Damian is cursed, robbing him of his voice. Or, communicate without a fresh bruise appearing, that is.
What begins as an inconvenience quickly spirals into something far worse, as he finds himself struggling with the mounting realization: no one has noticed. As his silence deepens, so do the rifts with his family. He’s not helped by the many more sinister theories the people around him assume because of his new temperament.

Tim, the ever vigilant (always awake and never giving himself a break) vigilante, gets word of a drug bust going down. One he just so happens to be the only one available to stop. Which happens to be taking place in the very early hours of his birthday. Of course he goes on the highly dangerous bust alone. What could happen?
Or: Tim is used to being the Robin that gets thing handled, that doesn't need Batman to come rescue him. Bruce Wayne had made it very clear in the early days that Tim was not his son. Alfred Pennyworth was cold, allowing only the politeness and distance to show through his Iron Wall. Dick Grayson treated him the way he wished he'd treated his brother, Jason.
Tim was fine with this. He wasn't a child. Even if he wished for more of the small slivers of love the Wayne family were just starting to give him, he wouldn't dare take Jason Todd's place. He just hoped the support he provided for the grieving family would make Jason proud. But Jason Todd came back, and he sure made it known he wasn't. He made sure Tim knew exactly what he thought of the cuckoo in his family.
Now, the Wayne family has their lost son back and Tim has a job to do. Just, not in this dimension?

Summary
Spock meets a Human woman on Earth, and finds himself spiralling into a friendship with her, that quickly leads to romance. They're both in Starfleet, and on different ships no less, but they make it work. Spock has no doubt in his mind that Juliana Ovidia Kirk is the love of his life.
Shortly after they're married, Jules is up for promotion: Starfleet captain. Spock returns to her after months of his mission with Captain Pike on the Enterprise, the ship he’s sure she’s going to get. Only, she’s not letting him into their bond, and he’s starting to think something is very wrong.
Jules Kirk meets a Vulcan man on Earth, and falls in love with him. It's difficult, with their far away lives, but somehow they make it work anyway. She has no doubt that Spock is the love of her life.
Then, around the time they get married, Jules starts to wonder if maybe she's not quite who she thought she was. Or, more appropriately, not quite who /he/ thought he was. And maybe it's illogical, but he's terrified of telling Spock and his husband rejecting him.

An academy AU + Tarsus aftermath fic in which James T. Kirk ends up accidentally parentally bonded to an orphaned Vulcan child. When the father/daughter duo enroll in Star Fleet, hijinks ensue (mostly at the expense of Spock’s previously immaculate but quickly deteriorating self-control).

Terrence Rhodes is an unlucky son of a dead whore. And what can he do at the ripe age of 8? Befriend a guy who will change the entire path of his life as he shall know it. Sam Winchester on the other hand, is a son of a deadbeat father and a dead mother, and at the ripe age of 9 he is befriending a guy who may or may not stalk him for like 4 years.. but that’s besides the point. Sam leaves, changing schools and it’s only until college that they meet again and that really when Terrence realizes how fucked he is.

Even more incredible? Despite everything happening...there is a glimmer of hope. Of love. If only it could be accepted.
