*Post-Doomsday AU*
This is a universe where the Doctor and Rose never separated and have been traveling for several years. Even still, their relationship remains ambiguous, with a bit more kissing but absolutely no acknowledgment of feelings. So when they find themselves on a new planet and Rose is offered a chance to erase the final obstacle between them, their lifespans, she takes it.
And the rest is a tale as old as time.
A bit of angst, a lot of romance, some adventures, and mostly, the Stuff of Legend learning how to be together. Forever.
He loved her.
She loved him.
She was going to age.
He was going to regenerate.
He’d told her he never wanted to lose her. He’d said it with his hand pressed to her chest an hour ago, with his lips warm and desperate against hers, unable to finish the one sentence that actually mattered.
Then don't, she thought, letting all those faces still to come go. I'm done grieving you, and you’ll longer grieve me.
She opened her eyes.
And she drank.
