The way he ran and lied, and was still lying. King Rhoam was the one who insisted the truth be buried, but Link didn’t utter a word of protest. He may have come clean, but he had no intention of coming clean to all of Hyrule.
He felt he didn’t owe Hyrule anything.But the question remained, just how much did he owe Zelda?"

A person or spirit that returns from the dead or after a long absence, often appearing as an animated corpse or ghost seeking vengeance or haunting the living.Somewhere inside the lump of necrotic tissue that is Astarion's unbeating heart, he knows what he's doing is wrong.
But there shall be no day of reckoning for Astarion. Astarion's already taken care of that problem- greased the palm of the reaper, slipped out of the ever hungry eyeline of mortality. You’d told him, once (tears balming the contempt- revulsion pouring from your curled lips) that Ascension had cost him his soul, but that only means it’s no longer his concern. So who cares if it's damned?
And when he looks at you now, reborn into soft, unscarred skin- your round eyes blinking at him, so eager to please, so desperate for his approval- so pliant-
Well.
All he knows is that hell feels like winning.

I glare. “He’ll kill my baby.”
My Astarion adjusts, seems to remember he’s not the real thing. “You can’t know that. He’s a narcissist, darling. If he looks and sees himself, he might raise it like a prince.”
“And if he sees me?”
“Then never give him the chance,” he urges. “Show everyone just how very hard you are to kill.”
Tav ran. She slipped Astarion’s leash, left a charred drow corpse in her place, and went into hiding with their monster growing inside her—one that already has its father’s appetite.
But when Minthara’s supply drop fails to arrive, Tav is left alone, pregnant, and starving in the Underdark.
And the imaginary Astarion she’s conjured for comfort—the one shaped from her best memories—may not be hers at all.
Tav has her Bella Swan/teen mom moment in the Underdark. I doubt anyone will read this, but it was so so fun to write.
