But this devotion to his role clashed with the desperate Princess Zelda who detested that perfection over all else. As fate would have it, Link can never keep himself a secret to his Princess. What will Zelda do with the real him? Will she accept the unwillingly corrupted Hero? Or will she hunt him down as an enemy of Hyrule as he long feared?

Doctors have told his relatives that it was a body mutation that happened when he's in his mother's womb, to which his Aunt Petunia will always gleefully remind him as a pathetic human being who brings her family nothing but heart break and how he, Harry (though his mind will always remind him that he's Link), should always be grateful that she take him in from the "goodness of her heart" because no one with a right mind will take a freak like him in.

Or in which Harry is Harry but also not Harry but Link and Link can't remember who he was but also remember too much of who he was. Reincarnation is not fun...at all

Link cracked his head at 9. Nothing is the same since.
Zelda hates her Hero. His face might as well be carved out of marble and left to rot on the top of Hebra Mountain. Then he touches her Sheikah Slate and suddenly she has a insight into his head...and what a mess it is. He's quieter than the Lost Wood but if the Sheikah Slate new function is true then his head is the noisiest head she has ever read.

Sheik is a child of the Sheikah Clan...except he wasn't born in Kakariko.
In the clan, the rite of passage of the Sheikah Clan, the Journey of Enlightenment, is something that all Sheikah the age of 13 must take. They will journey around Hyrule to find themselves and gain wisdom through experiencing the world alone. Except for Sheik. The loudest and most unpredictable Sheikah had received a vision from the Goddess Hylia to cross the ocean and return to his land of origin, the Hidden Continent. Well, he didn't mind. He is curious about the mysterious land. Besides, it is a good chance to learn about the world after Hyrule lost contact for the last 100 years due to the Calamity crippling their continent. The Princess could surely use an update to the political climate of Hyrule's neighbor!
3 years are up and Sheik finally returns to Hyrule. Along with him is a boy who have lost faith in the village that he grew up in and a girl who loves him enough to chase him across the ocean to Hyrule where they will both be tested by the evil that plagued the land...
