It's not like he had been expecting him to go crossed eyed or squirt for a full minute, but he had hoped to see a few cute tears and hear some variation of Ilya, it’s too much, it won’t fit—
“Shut up." He blushed. “I guess… I just thought it would be bigger.”
He nearly deflated on the spot. A puck to the jaw would have been less brutal than those seven words.
