“Nice view,” Sanji says, standing by the window. It’s not. That window has a wide, panoramic view of the island, yes, but Kuraigana being Kuraigana means it’s mostly fog and creepy hills and dead trees. And yet, staring at the back of this man whom he loves, thinking about the great adventure they’re about to embark on together, Zoro can’t help but agree.
Zoro sets his swords on the bed and crosses the room silently. He wraps his arms around his husband’s waist and whispers the words these walls knew before anyone else, “I love you.”
Sanji melts into him, turning his head to nuzzle Zoro’s cheek, pressing a kiss to the scar over his eye. “And they say I’m the sap.”
Zoro sighs contentedly, hooking his chin over Sanji’s shoulder, “You are,” his hands push up Sanji’s shirt, revealing the little baby bump, thumbs stroking over the slight swell to feel where the skin goes from smooth and soft to a tiny bit tauter and warmer. “But I can be too, sometimes.”
