Summary
Megumi Fushiguro never stood a chance in life. His mother died when he was five, his father abused and neglected him, and he has never felt right in his own mind or body. The only two people who have ever cared about him are his sister Tsumiki and his mother's childhood friend Satoru Gojo. Gojo is the only person in his life that has ever been like a parent to him. He practically raised Megumi and his sister and was always there when they needed him. Meugmi is slow to trust and love, but holds his family and his two best friends very close to his chest. But now, at the beginning of his sophomore year of high school, Tsumiki has gone away to college and his conflicting emotions about one of his friends have thrown him for a loop. But still, Gojo is there. He doesn't leave and remains an ever constant persence in Megumi's life, which he is eternally grateful for. But sometimes, it's not enough to silence the voices in his head, however much Gojo tries.

Annoyance—that’s all he’s been feeling lately. Ever since he and his sister were taken in by this excessively large nineteen-year-old, who can more accurately be described as an irritating, oversized fly, Megumi has been in a constant state of agony.
Or Megumi can't cope with Satoru's presence and loses his mind. Can Gojo, with his limited parenting skills, help this boy out. I don't know, you should probably read to find out.

It was far past midnight when he heard the noise. A crash coming from down the hall. He’d tried to read who it was using his six eyes, but their energy was so erratic and unstable he genuinely couldn’t tell who it could be. He supposed it must have been coming from someone’s late night training session that had left them more than drained, but the further he followed it, the more concerned he became.
It wasn’t coming from the training room at all.
It was coming from Megumi’s room.
“Megumi?”
“I’m fine.”
He was not fine. Not in the slightest. Not with that sickly pallor, those sunken eyes, that shaking frame, that messy room. Something was wrong. Very very wrong.

At least, that's what he keeps telling himself until one night's offhanded offer to be there for a certain potions professor—as a listening ear, you see, nothing untoward—turns into him finding out far more about the man than he ever expected to. And helping where he can, because Hagrid has always been a champion of the outcasts and the unloved and the dangerous, in what little ways he can be, and he finds that Severus Snape is no exception. Especially when Harry's third year brings with it a new DADA Professor, and opens up old scars most of the faculty hadn't even been aware of.

Peter always knew he was the odd one out in his family. It wasn't like he didn't try, he did try to be apart of the family just when he was younger and it never worked. He was never able to connect with anyone, at least not the way Harley connected with their dad, or the way Morgan had everyone wrapped around her little finger since the day she was born.
Peter was just there, in a way he believed that he wasn't important, not to his family anyway. That was what he always believed, at least before he got his powers and became the one and only Spider-man.
Maybe there was a reason why he was always the odd one out after all.

The praise goes to his head, suffusing him with endorphins. “Thank you, Dad.” And he promptly wants to crawl out of his skin and slither down the drain with the after birth slop.

When Shane and Ilya reunite, Shane knows somethings up. That night, he kisses every single scar that now dots Ilya's body.
