No serious hockey fan or sports commentator worth their salt would have considered record-breaking Boston superstar Ilya Rozanov to be Shane Hollander’s rival exactly, but sleeping with a man who had a specific offense-related vendetta against him and a wrist shot like a jet engine to back it up was probably ill-advised just the same.

Summary
After getting hit by Cliff Marlow during the Boston-Montreal game in April 2017, Shane Hollander's injuries are worse than anyone believed.
But what no one - including Ilya Rozanov - expected, was the announcement by the end of summer that Shane would retire from professional hockey. Shane Hollander was not seen in public ever since that last game.
Skip forward to 2021, and Shane is announced to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame and Ilya is now Captain of the Centaurs.

Summary
Hayden and Jackie died 2 years ago in a car crash on the way home from a date. Their children were not with them, they were with Shane, having a sleepover. Shane who was named as trusted adult and prefert adopted parent in case of his bestfriends death. Shane who, being an orphan himself, decided to step up and take the children in so they wouldn´t be split up in foster care. Shane who was all of a sudden responsiple for four children who are still working through the most traumatic event of their young lives.
Luckily Shane had inherited a lot of money when his parents died when he was 18. He had spent a portion of that money to buy a building with a cafe in downtown Ottawa. Luckily the appartment on top of the cafe had enough space to house his new family. Luckily Rose was willing to support them an became a part of the family as well.
Ilya loved going to that very cafe only for the extra big pup cups Anya would get everytime and not for the adoribly cute and akward barista named Shane. Ilya didn´t know he owned the cafe. Ilya didn´t know his life definitly didn´t need anymore distractions. But then again Ilya had always been a bit selfish when it came to love.

The man’s lashes flutter. “Shane, sir.”
Ilya nods and lets his hand move through Shane’s hair. It is soft, and Shane leans into the touch, eyes closing briefly as if the contact alone is enough to ground him. The response is so natural that it gives Ilya pause.
“Tell me about your limits.” Ilya doubts he is going to be close to any limits tonight, as Shane looks like he already had a pretty rough night. But he still needs to ask, good hygiene.
A small smile appears on Shane’s face, he looks at Ilya deeply, eyes not wandering away as he speaks, “There are no limit, sir.” He looks at the disbelief appearing on Ilya’s face and offers, “I’m the house slave.”
Or, Ilya didn’t come for attachment, but Shane, bruised, obedient, and unraveling, becomes the one thing he can’t leave broken.
