Students settled in their seats, laptops and notebooks in hand, getting themselves mentally prepared for whatever they were about to face.
The second the screen before them clicked on, they had a guess as to why Professor Graham was in such a sour mood. Technically, they were not wrong.
“Over the weekend,” he began, loud and just as tense as always, if not more, “the Chesapeake Ripper began another sounder. Or so investigators believe.”
