Each word, no, each sound resonated clearly and full of authority that dared to rival that of their master. “If you would explain it once more, tell me what exactly happened to Yuji-sama?”
Choso and Megumi kneeled side by side in front of them, heads down in apology. Despite the lack of eye contact, Uraume could not help but feel that their underlying fury was undermined by the gawking toddler fixated on their hair, regardless of how much he shook and slipped in their grasp. These crumbled fabrics wrapped around the little one thrice over were not suitable attire. And to further claw at the edge of Uraume’s tolerance for the outlandish, they were in the midst of a silent war with the woman presenting little trinkets and dolls at the edge of their vision. One vitriolic glare shut Yorozu down completely. Unfortunately, they had also caused the young master’s energetic mumbling to cease.
♦ Accidents happen and Uraume is none too pleased.
