But no matter how long he hides among them, the truth is inescapable—Izuku can't outrun who he is.
When his mother vanishes without a trace, Izuku is forced to confront the humans he’s long avoided. To find her, he’ll need to break her rules to rely on them

For as long as he could remember, Hitoshi had been unwanted. A burden spared by the gods they were forced to take in, he’s never truly belonged anywhere. Neglected and unwanted by the humans around him, he seeks out a dragon to prove his worth in this world and on this island.
He couldn't have known the most dangerous thing in the woods wasn't the dragons.

But kids that suffer, that are bullied or abused. Their imaginary friends tend to stick around a lot longer.
And Izuku’s kid, well, he’s still there after 15 years.
