Summary
Obi-wan is standing beside Rey from Nowhere, the light of the Force echoing around them all. He feels the presence of all the Jedi in the light. All those he has missed and mourned. The Force pours out of them and into Rey and then finally, finally, the dark falls. The Sith is no more. He lets out a breath he doesn’t need and feels the peace of the Force embrace him fully and he lets go.
He expects, as so far as one can expect anything when becoming one with the force, to feel nothing and everything at the same time. To no longer be himself, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ben Kenobi, or anything else, but to be one, truly and finally, with the Force. He doesn’t expect to feel sensation anymore, especially not the sensation of falling.
But he is, he is falling. Where, he does not know. He feels a question, an offer, made, he thinks, by the Force itself. He answers it. And then he is no longer falling per se, but rather being pulled. There are flashes of light and pain and then he is slammed into focus.
He screams.

Summary
Sometimes it's the Force that insists you travel in time and fix your galaxy. (The Force doesn't seem to enjoy the Sith as much as the Sith enjoy themselves.)
But sometimes it happens the old fashioned way: you just get stuck in carbonite and by some miracle you don't actually die within the first ten minutes of being thawed out.
And when Obi-Wan Kenobi gets thawed out, he has managed many things, and semi-infinite patience is certainly one of them. The question is: can he be bothered to actually put that patience into play, or is he just So Done with all this shit?

They go their separate ways without any way to communicate, and in another universe that would have been it.
But, in another universe, Jaster Mereel dies and the Haat Mando'ade are destroyed, in another universe Obi-Wan dies on Melida-Daan. In another universe they didn't meet until a cold rainy day on Kamiino.
This isn't that universe.
The Force wills them meet again.
Somehow, this changes everything.

The first time Obi-Wan met Jango, they were both slaves on Bandomeer. He’d been 12, Jango 21. The older man had protected him, kept him safe—at least until the slavers loaded him up onto a spice transport and disappeared. Obi-Wan didn’t see him again, and by the time he worried about his friend, well. Qui-Gon had rescued him and Xanatos was gone.
After that, he spent months running around the galaxy, sometimes with Qui-Gon, sometimes with others, sometimes alone. Melida/Daan. Mandalore. Phindar. A dozen other planets or more.
And then Naboo, where it all went wrong.
(OR the one where Obi-Wan met Jango during their stints as slaves and meet again on Kamino. And then Jango kidnaps him, because of course he does.)
