It's dark, here.
And quiet, for once, Jim thinks to himself as he shoves his hands into his pockets. The sky above is a murky blue-gray, completely devoid of stars. Hazy clouds crawl in from the ocean, shining palely where the city’s lights glare bright enough to reach. Even at this time of night, the horizon is tinged a soft purple-pink. The rumble of the city below still audible, but muted to a dull roar as Gotham comes as close to sleeping as she ever does.
