If this had been one of the scenarios that Roy sometimes played in that head of his, even multiple times a day, she would have said something like 'Yes, come warm me up, Roy,' and he would have been ecstatic to oblige.
Instead, Riza wiggled her toes, flipped the page and said, short and curt, "No."
Roy is nineteen, has no sense of self-preservation and Riza is just so pretty that he can't stay away. Cue in (possibly purposefully) squeaky floors, awkward teenage first times, dorky Roy and badass Riza.

"“What happened?” The sudden, familiar voice, dark with concern, nearly startled her out of her skin. She hadn't even heard him approach. Of course this was the moment Colonel Mustang had decided to leave. As if this wasn't embarrassing enough already.
“I had a rather abrupt meeting with the ground, sir.” She attempted to stand up and pretend like it was business as usual, but a wave of dizziness flooded through her body again. She settled for slumping awkwardly over her lap.
Mustang’s face came into her line of sight - he was crouched down in front of her, tense concern etched into his features. His frown was more prominent in the low light, and Riza wanted to smooth out the worry lines with her thumb.
She'd definitely hit her head. "
When Lieutenant Hawkeye slips and receives a head injury just before the Winter Solstice holiday, Colonel Mustang takes it upon himself to care for her and keep an eye on her symptoms throughout the night, despite Riza's initial reservations. However, the longer they spend time together in private, the harder it is for both of them to face being apart again, culminating in some emotional revelations.
