Summary
The story of two terminally horny morons whose only understanding of intimacy comes from violent metaphors they took literally. Together they are on a mission to traumatize each other as much as possible until they get their shit together or die trying.
I remembered Harold's barely disguised horror at my description of a flesh-eating monster, that disgust still unaccounted for with all my new understanding of him. I remembered the wide circle of blood in the alley, the red that dyed the cobblestones. Oh, I had her now.
"It's got nothing to do with dignity," I said. "You're just afraid you'll eat me again."
Her eyes went wide and her hands slackened for just long enough for me to pull the knife from my bag and drag it across her throat.

Not the curse it once was- by the 21st century, vampirism had mutated into an inconvenient infection.
Due to their hunger being volatile and, if unsated, potentially fatal for the infected, vampires usually hired a professional "blood bag" to be by their side 24/7 during the months- sometimes years- it took for the illness to pass.
So when Caitlyn catches it, Vi doesn't hesitate to take up the role. Anything to help her best friend until she recovers.

Summary
Lady Auric is tired. She has been alive for far too long, and while her home in the great city of Azzina by the Shore is beautiful, it has not felt like home in many years. Nevertheless, she is one of the Triarchs of Azzina. As such, she knows everything that goes on in her city. So when rumor of a girl bearing impossible resemblance to an old enemy roaming Azzina arises, Lady Auric pursues alongside the city guards.
A girl who cannot remember her name and who has spent far too much time on the streets finds herself in the care of the noblewoman Lady Auric, who calls her Cordelia. She’s unfamiliar with the charity and compassion after all her time alone, and the manor she now calls home needs love. Lady Auric needs a maid, and Cordelia insists that it be her.
Two women find themselves in an impossible dance. Can Lady Auric forgive Cordelia for sins that her maid doesn’t even remember? Can Cordelia regain her memories? Does Lady Auric even want her to? And why can’t they stop thinking about one another?
It’s all so terribly unprofessional.
