Summary
When the Netherbrain fell and the Absolute was defeated, Astarion lost any chance he had at a peaceful life.
To avoid having to look after 7000 spawn alongside his once siblings, he turned his hand to mercenary work. Murder, stealing blackmail evidence, anything that nets him enough coin to survive.
But when those jobs dry up, and he has plenty of money to live off of for a while, he entertains himself with purloining jewels from establishments that are far less deserving than himself of owning the precious gemstones.
Which is why he's currently dressed to the nines, invitation to a museums benefit in hand. He plans to use the event as a distraction so he can steal the star attraction of an upcoming exhibition.
The Crestalian Ruby, the most gorgeous necklace Astarion has ever seen. And the only place it belongs is upon the only person who could possibly rival its beauty. Himself.
Until a familiar face appears, and his plans for the night get a bit more complicated than he planned for.

“You’re mine now, darling,” Astarion whispers against sensitive, flushed tanned flesh. “Just mine,” as teeth drag innocently against a vein, not biting, not piercing, but there, so, so, intoxicatingly there. Gale feels lightheaded.
“You owe her nothing, she has no hold over you, not anymore. No, that is for me, and me alone. I do so dread to share, you know,” He purrs, and Gale lets out a bated breath-turned-whimper when Astarion’s lips make their way up his jaw and to his ear, taking the flesh between sharp points and nipping.
One of the wizard’s hands comes to brace himself, right atop and over the vampire’s unbeating heart. His fingernails dig into the leather armor that covers Astarion’s pale skin longingly, bordering on desperate. Gale doesn’t know why, doesn’t know how, but near every part of his body that makes him him, every bone, every cell, every atom that builds his soul, is begging him to simply let the vampire take. For him to ravish, and bite, and suck, to take and take and take, until it’s inconceivable to him where Gale Dekarios ends, and Astarion Ancunín begins.
Oh, how he wants.
