Summary
Stanley Pines is the last person to label himself as the guy to save the world. Especially because the world is so fucked at this point, no one can do it. He stopped believing it possible about half an hour after he witnessed a giant yellow triangle take a bite out of the planet— yeah, he has no idea either, thanks.
He plans for the maybe-week the world has left to stick to feasible goals, like “eat one last meal,” and “don’t die until you get to do it yourself.” But just as the second of those is about to fall through, he’s grabbed by a man with a weird tape measure, whisked off to another time, and told that none of this is supposed to have happened. And that they’re apparently trusting the fate of the world to… him?
They insist that he’s the guy for the job, apparently based on exactly how the triangle got the chance to end the world in the first place. It was, according to them, one idiotic schmuck who let himself get conned. They just need Stan to kill the guy before that happens.
And, sure. It’s not like Stan’s life could get any more insane than it already has. Who do they need him to kill exactly?

Sometimes a girl just wants to read sexist asshats getting their asses ripped to shreds. This series is a goddess of War and Death getting yeeted into various terrible worlds and removing everyone who is terrible to her. And making living conditions better for the general public while she's at it. (I'm not sure which is going to end up my favourite: Lightning From a Clear Sky is *chef's kiss* but I have a more personal hatred for the world she sets to rights in Confession's End.)

He learns of lots of things that these people say his older self has experienced in the apocalypse: kindness, companionship, strength, family, love, sacrifice; all things they say the older him has provided to them.
(He's not sure he believes it.)
They seem to know him too well to the point that it scares him a bit, listing things they couldn't possibly know if they didn't; his hate for tomatoes, his tendency to lie with a straight face, his love for stories; even predicting correctly that his favorite food will be murim dumplings, once he tries them. They try very hard not to overwhelm him, but both the praise and insult they give him remain unchanging, time and time again.
The person they describe— it doesn't sound like him. Like anything he could possibly be.
(And yet, it's a fact that they're here, waiting for that person to come back to them. It's comforting, and frightening at the same time; both an assurance and an expectation.)

Summary
“Eighteen years ago, an earthquake ripped through Gotham City, and in the aftermath, instead of helping, the US government sealed the city under a ‘quarantine’ and left them to die. Two years later, when signs of life and even civilisation were still detectable inside the shattered city, the government sent the military in to reclaim and rehabilitate Gotham. Gotham has not forgotten, and they have not forgiven either.”
An AU where an altered version of No Man’s Land happened while Bruce was in his late teens/early twenties, and Batman was born in the hellish crucible of a trapped city that was left for dead and then violently retaken. Gotham may pretend to run by mainlander rules for the sake of those who would have died otherwise, but under the surface, Bruce, Jim, Leslie, Ivy and Oswald and their pack keep their own council, and look with jaundiced eyes on the mainland.

Summary
An essay on the subject of the Wen remnants. Who knew that they were non-combatants? Were the sects really the victims of a misinformation campaign as much of fandom argues, or did they all willingly go the Burial Mounds to massacre a group of people who they knew were innocent?
I will argue the latter. A close reading of the novel text proves that the sects were all either well aware of who the Wens under Wei Wuxian's protection were, or made an active choice not to know.

This AU is beautiful. My favourite part is the moiralleigence between Karkat and Gamzee, because I love that pairing and this series does it so well, but every pairing is handled just as well - and even if none of the pairings take your fancy, the main story is more than worth reading just for the worldbuilding in it, the way it takes fragments of Homestuck and weaves them into something unique and fantastic.
