Summary
Seven months into Severus Snape's term as Headmaster, he finally perfects a potion that could change the war for the better… or destroy everything Dumbledore set in motion before his death.
Dumbledore is dead, and his plans seem to be falling apart before Severus' eyes. Harry Potter and his friends are no closer to finding and destroying the Horcruxes, and Voldemort's hold over the wizarding world is growing. Severus Snape desperately creates a potion that can send him back five years into the past. Hopefully, with more time, he can find the Horcruxes, find a way to save Harry from the Horcrux inside him and maybe even save some of his other students along the way.

Summary

This story exists as Part of the "Moment of Impact" universe and is part 5, immediately following "A Summer of Flotsam and Jetsam." This series generally follows canon with these exceptions: 1) Harry and Severus establish a mentor relationship after fifth year that grows into an unofficial father/son relationship and 2) Severus survives Nagini's attack. While the last two stories have been very introspective and relationship-driven, "Tuesdays with Severus" is a venture away from developing characters around and behind canon events, as there is no specific canon for 8th year. Thanks to all of the readers who are bravely going forward with yet another story in this series. There will be a Draco element here, which is not introduced in this chapter, but keep in mind that I try to follow canon, including the epilogue. And now - onward!

Story 4 in the "Moment of Impact" story arc. The title of this story, "A Summer of Flotsam and Jetsam," is taken from the nautical terms. Flotsam is floating wreckage of a ship or its cargo. Jetsam refers to parts of a ship or its cargo tossed overboard to "lighten the load." This story takes place at Shell Cottage the summer after the Battle of Hogwarts. Harry and Severus are living together at the cottage. The story explores their relationship and healing, as well as the aftermath of the war and the battle on their friends and family, featuring Ron and Hermione, Minerva, Hagrid, Poppy, Luna, Neville, Andromeda Tonks, Teddy Lupin, Ginny, George and the rest of the Weasleys.

Summary
Behold, everyone: the deep dive into Good Omens theology that nobody wanted!
I was driven to write this. I don’t know why. Possibly because one of the first novels I ever tried to write was about a pair of (female) angels who were best friends in heaven until one of them joined the rebel angels and fell. Anyway, of course the A/C relationship is the heart of the story; but I got interested in the theological contexts that the Good Omens miniseries creates/uncreates/deconstructs/reconstructs around it, so here we go.
Please be advised this whole post is based on the TV series. Nearly everything I'm talking about here was either augmented or invented for the TV adaptation. I’m particularly interested in the decision to cast Frances McDormand as the voice of God. Because that highlights an interesting question often asked by queer people who were raised in some version of Christianity: Is God an asshole? Or, to elaborate: Is God as much of an asshole as the Christian church I was raised in makes God out to be?
