The ground shakes, and he realizes that a stampede of beasts has just spotted them. He’s trying and failing to duck away from the herd, getting thrown off a cliff by sheer force, the ground shaking unsteadily. He grips Lovely Assistaff tightly as he tries to haul himself back up on land, but the piece of the ground he was holding onto crumbles beneath him, causing him to fall.
He suppresses a shout as he hits the ground, struggling to stand, but his body won’t cooperate. He tries to call someone on his choker, but it won’t work. It’s broken. His choker is broken. He doesn’t have any way of letting his team know what happened.

Summary
After the Doll Festival, Goka (who was instructed by Kyouka) brought Zanka over to the Hell Guard. Kyouka tries to help Zanka, but he flinches away and refuses to talk to either of his siblings. Unable to understand why, she yells at him, which does nothing to help Zanka not be scared or intimidated by her.
As I am writing this fic, the latest chapter of the manga is chapter 159. It has a few manga spoilers but not too many. If you are on Gachiakuta TikTok, you have probably already seen the spoilers that I am writing.
