500 years is a long time to spend pretending to be human, and though after all these centuries Wels has got it down to an art, he's also hyperaware of how easily things can start to crumble. It's why he's spent so long carefully holding himself away from getting to close to people, and it's also why - after 500 years of successfully keeping his mouth shut - he ends up telling five people he's an angel in less than a decade. Blasted friendship.

When Hermitcraft, a hidden world supposedly closed off to outsiders, receives an unexpected new arrival in the form of an avian being hunted by powerful forces, the residents of this secluded paradise find themselves thrust into a generational conflict between the Voidwalkers, creatures from the emptiness between realms looking to rule the known realms by force, and the avians, winged defenders of light sworn to defeat this incursion.
Grian is not a typical avian, haunted by the past and dreading the fast-approaching future and the role he is forced to play in the future of the war.
As the sect of Voidwalkers known as the Watchers - a particularly dangerous group - loom beyond the protective barriers put in place by Hermitcraft's Admin, the point of no return rapidly approaches, and Grian and the Hermits must all make hard choices to keep those they love safe.

Tango cradled it like he saw Impulse had. It had a very strange weight to it. After all, it was very heavy for its size. And, if he stayed still enough, he could vaguely feel a small amount of movement.
Almost like breathing.
“You were the only person who could help,” Impulse whispered, his voice pathetically wet as he carefully pulled the blankets back.
Tango tore his eyes away from Impulse, and onto the thing in the bundle.

Xisuma is always tired.
Well, in X’s humble opinion, the sleep deprivation came with being a good, competent admin. His job is to (quite literally) make sure all of the hermits were healthy, happy, and not scheming chaos, especially when it came to Grian. Thing is, that also meant updating the firewalls and communicators, making sure that the respawn mechanic was working flawlessly, fixing various bugs that conveniently appeared in the middle of the night…yeah, he should stop talking if he doesn't want others to worry about his health. Point is, he’d do anything to make sure that all his friends were physically and mentally okay.
Which included playing dirty.

Summary
Mumbo both was and wasn’t glad with Xisuma’s presence. On the one hand, he had been feeling really quite terrible and having Xisuma here helped; he was like an anchor point, steady and not spinning madly like the rest of the world was.
On the other hand, though... from the glances he saw when he had the energy to lift his head, Xisuma had been looking terribly worried ever since he'd arrived, and he knew the admin was busy and didn't take enough breaks as is. It didn't look like the admin would be going, or, as an extension of that, resting any time soon. And to make it even worse, having him here meant that he now actually knew just how bad things were.
Mumbo had actually been quite content with keeping the steady decline of his mental and physical health private, thank you.

Mumbo has a 'fun' time exploring insomnia and being touch-starved!

Xisuma has...not always been the best at making good decisions. Which was fine! It was. He knew where the line between doing things for others and forgetting to do things for yourself was. Besides, he was Xisuma! The admin of the best players in existence! He loves them, but he would never get so caught up in caring for them that he would forget to care for himself, right?
