Summary
Hours into the mating run, and nearing dawn, Buck has finally given up the feeble hope of being chased down by an Alpha and taken on the forest floor, so he begins his humiliating return to the beginning of the trail to check himself out, eat all the ice cream he has in his freezer, and maybe cry into a few beers.
Only, he has no idea as he gets closer to the camp where the run began, that an Alpha is hot on his trail, and has every intention of making a mate out of Buck—Buck just has no idea, until he’s tackled out of nowhere by that very Alpha who has been following his trail for hours and is ready to claim his prize.

Summary
“You still play with dolls, Carmichael?”
Ilya was nicer to his teammates than he was to other players, but he still chirped them when they did something to deserve it. Playing with a doll in the locker room before the second game of the season against the Metros was something they should have expected him to comment on. So, the confused look he was getting back from Carmichael made no sense.
“It’s not a doll,” Carmichael said seriously. “It’s a voodoo doll.”

Summary
Tim’s doorbell rings ten minutes after midnight, and he practically jumps up from where he’s been sitting on the couch, only half focused on the game while waiting for Lucy to come home. He walks quickly across the living room, his bare feet making soft noises on the floor, and he has to tamp down on his grin as he opens the door, ready to welcome Lucy home from her girl’s night out.
It’s Angela who greets him, though, and her grin is shit eating and her arms are full of one very drunk Lucy Chen.
“What the fuck,” he asks, and Lucy giggles as she launches herself from Angela’s arms and into his.
“Tiiiiiim!” she cries, and he huffs in amusement as she plasters herself against his body. Her hands are immediately tangled in his clothing, one tugging on his t-shirt while the other dips into the waistband of his sweats, and he squirms as she feels him up in front of one of their best friends.
“Hey, baby,” he greets, and Lucy grins, her cheeks flushed and her eyes glazed, as he leans down and kisses her on the forehead.
