Summary
After the War of the Spanish Succession, thousands of seamen were relieved of military duty at the time where cross-Atlantic colonial shipping trade was taking place, resulting in a new influx of piracy.
Nobleman Julius Caesar Zeppeli had been one of many growing up surrounded by tales of pirates and treasures and all kinds of sea creatures. And like many, he too was lured into pursuing that lifestyle.
Now, years later, Captain Gyro sails all seven seas bearing the title of one of the most dangerous men in the world. Only a fool with a death wish would come to him with the request of pillaging one of the ships in Britain's fleet just to capture a single noble. A fool, such as Diego Brando.
But little did Gyro know though, that Johnny Joestar might be as much if not more dangerous than himself.

Johnny leaned over to speak to the sour-faced Italian,
“Not a fan of being touched?” He found that hard to believe, considering he had just been feeling up his entire body a moment before.
“Not by old men,” Gyro spoke before thinking, an unfortunately regular occurrence for him, especially when alcohol was involved. He knew it was worth it, though, when he heard Johnny let out a snort that turned into a deep laugh, clearly enjoying his cynical jab.
Johnny would have explained that meant they had more than one thing in common, but he wasn’t sure it would go over well given the circumstances.
