Summary
The International Prospect Cup, 2008— Canada’s Shane Hollander, Russia’s Ilya Rozanov. Vying for third place against the United States, Switzerland’s young phenom, Luca Haas.
When Luca Haas is drafted to the Ottawa Centaurs two years after Hollander is drafted to the Metros and Rozanov is drafted to the Raiders, chance has it that he becomes good friends with both. When both start talking about the other— about Montreal Jane and Boston Lily— Luca puts two and two together. And so, like a good friend, he listens, meddles when it is appropriate— and Hollander and Rozanov become Shane and Ilya.
Somewhere along the way, he falls for them. Somewhere along the way, he swallows it down into a faraway crevasse of his body for the sake of their happiness. (What he doesn’t know is: Somewhere along the way, they fall for him, too.)
